Club Penguin Island April Update Sneak Peeks

Club Penguin has uploaded their seventh episode of Island Insider today. In this episode, Megg went over a bunch of Club Penguin Island related things from community questions, to underwater racing gameplay, and even some sneak peeks of their big update which will be launching in April.

The first sneak peek we got shows off six brand new clothing blueprints. I’m going to guess that there will be more levels introduced in this update as well.

The second one gives us confirmation that there will be brand new sets of Daily Challenges. Another thing to point out is that this is a new interface.

Speaking of interfaces, we got another one! I’m going to guess this will be your “information” station within the game. You can see settings are accessible from here along with what looks like to be the blog.

A sketch of what looks like emotes themed around animals. My favorite is the cheetah.

A colored sketch of a panda hoodie was also displayed. Pretty cool.

The final sneak peek is of a brand new map with the ability to click and travel to any area within the game. Maybe the number of dots indicates how full the room is?

That’s all the sneak peeks that were shown off in the seventh episode of Island Insider. Club Penguin Island is so close! I hope they have core features planned to come not too long after release such as igloos, puffles, and mini-games.

Which sneak peek peeked YOUR interest the most?

I’m so confused! When will CPI be released worldwide? I’m in USA, and I can’t wait… They said that it would be released in March; I hope they don’t keep pushing it.

I’m not going to give this game the benefit of the doubt here. Why prioritize emojis and Disney costumes instead of mini-games and puffles? May I remind you that Club Penguin launched with mini-games and more rooms than CP Island, and it didn’t even have the financial backing of Disney? This game has been in development for more than 3 years, it looks like garbage and it’s not fun to play. I never thought grinding for coins would be the ONLY way of getting coins in Club Penguin. And the fact it’s mobile only doesn’t make it any better. I have no idea how Disney can package this as a kid’s virtual world- kids wouldn’t even want to play this boring shell of former Club Penguin. As a long time Club Penguin fan, I’m disappointed.

The map seems nice, it’s sometimes a chore just walking from one place to another. The only bad side is you won’t be able to grind collectibles for coins.
