Club Penguin’s 10th year is just about over. In terms of parties, there have been twelve parties. In my opinion, most weren’t that good. They reused the same tactics as the previous one. But hey, I’m not here to discuss past parties. I’m here to talk about what kind of parties YOU want to see in the new year.
I believe 2016 will be the biggest change in Club Penguin’s history, with CPNext and the long awaited Project Super Secret, which is still extremely indistinct, launching. I’d expect to see a major change in parties too. As Spike Hike said in a comment last year,
“Lately, we got very focused on these quest + mini game parties and while those add some good gameplay, it feels like we’ve been missing on the social and world aspects. So we are trying to address that.”
THAT is what I’d like to see from parties next year. The social and world aspects, along with decorations scattered around the island. So far, 8 out of Club Penguin’s 12 parties this year ran on the quest/mini-game system.
Little details really go a long way. Take a look at what the Town looked like during the Fall Fair in 2008. Notice how the neon lights are animated? They make the room look alive!

Now compare that room to the Town during this year’s Fashion Festival. There are a bunch of neon lights in this room. Unfortunately, none are animated.

Most parties in 2015 had a very, very simple quest system where more often than not, required you to throw snowballs, or collect things that clearly stood out. In 2016, I’d like to see more quests in the style of Ye Knight’s Quests where social aspects AND quests are combined.

Personally, I’d love to see a traditional Summer Party on Club Penguin again. The Water Parties were fantastic. They even had storylines! The first one was caused by a crab breaking the glass at the Cave, causing the island to flood. The decorations were simple, quirky, and interactive! Watch the first 20 seconds of this video, and you’ll see what I mean.
Aside from a traditional Summer Party, I’d like to see another Medieval Party with a new Ye Knight’s Quest. Players love them, and the last one was in 2012. Think about it! A Medieval Party with a bunch of decorations, a new Ye Knight’s Quest, and interactivity between the rooms. It would be a blast.
The final party that I will be talking about in this article is another Puffle Party for 2016. There has been a new one every year since 2009, so I’m sure next year will be no different. This year’s Puffle Party was more of a wilderness expedition. Puffles themselves really weren’t represented. For 2016’s Puffle Party, I think it would be awesome if new rooms were made in devotion to all the new Puffles that have recently been discovered. There could be a few new domains for Dog & Cat Puffles, the Gold Puffle, and maybe even the Ghost Puffle!
The last domain to be made was the Brown Puffle, who resided at the Arcade. The team did a fantastic job showing off the Puffle’s personality.

There are many more parties that I could take about, but I’ll give those three for now. Club Penguin plans months in ahead, so it would be a good idea to send your ideas for 2016 now. They are already working on February’s and March’s party!
Let me know what kind of parties YOU would like to see on Club Penguin in the new year in the comments below. 🙂
