The Royal Thai Army, or RTA, is the military arm of the Kingdom of Thailand. It is responsible for the defense of the country and its people. The Army is made up of the Royal Thai Army, Royal Thai Air Force, Royal Thai Navy, and Royal Thai Marines.
The RTA was established in 1932, when the then-King of Thailand, King Rama VII, signed the Royal Thai Army Act. The Act established the RTA as the primary defense force of the country. Since then, the RTA has grown to become one of the largest and most powerful military forces in Southeast Asia.
The RTA is led by the Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army, General Chalermchai Sittisart. The Army is divided into four main branches: the Army, Air Force, Navy, and Marines. Each branch is responsible for its own operations and has its own distinct mission.
The RTA has a long history of involvement in both domestic and international conflicts. It has participated in numerous wars and peacekeeping operations, including the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Cambodian Civil War, and the Iraq War.
The RTA is also an active participant in the United Nations peacekeeping operations. It has contributed troops to the UN peacekeeping forces in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other conflict zones.
The RTA also plays an important role in Thai society. It provides training and education to its personnel, as well as support for the country’s development. The RTA also works closely with other government agencies to ensure the security and stability of the country.
